In 2010, I obtained an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Pisa, Italy.
Between 2009 and 2011, I worked at the European Space Agency (ESA) — at both the Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in the Netherlands and the Operations Centre (ESOC) in Germany — supporting university satellite operations and developing a patented real-time telemetry compression method, which is now flying on-board several spacecraft missions.
In 2016, I earned a PhD in Computer Science at the Intelligent Systems Group of the Johann Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Groningen (The Netherlands), focusing on image and data analysis tools with applications to astronomical datasets.
Since 2017, I have been working at the Data Analysis Office of the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), where I perform data analysis, visualization, and modeling of IIT’s research and administrative activities to gain insights into scientific production and research performance. My work focuses on Current Research Information Systems (CRIS), system interoperability, and Research Data Management & Open Science practices.
